With homes in multiple locations, the vision for this secondary residence was to provide our client with a serine interior using neutral tones and clean lines. Using the white surfaces to contrast a monochromatic scheme, bold elements direct the eye to the impressive city views.
As a visually prominent feature, the large entertainment wall defines the main living room. Accented by ambient light, the grey palette feels warm emphasizing the architectural details. Sophisticated materials and multi-hued wallpapers intermesh structural elements with built-in features in established balance. Soft sheer panels frame the views transitioning the asymmetrical floorplan seamlessly.
In the private rooms, textural fabrics and wallcoverings bring depth to the open walls. The bedrooms were adorned with pendent lights flanking the bedside, allowing the fixtures to be appreciated in their pure form. A design challenge was resolved in a tightly fit bedroom by including a customized bed attached to the wall as it’s height skewed visual reality.
As intended, the composition appears simple and effortless. The challenge was to create continuity between protruding walls and simplify these variations in harmony. Metallics, metals, and matte finishes were meticulously sourced and arranged to form this beautiful flat.
